SUGAR MOLASSES BAGASSES ETHANOL FERTILISER

                      BAGASSES

Bagasse is a fibrous   residue of cane stalk that is obtained after crushing and extraction of juice. It is a by-product of sugarcane which consists of fiber, moisture and small quantities of soluble solids.  Bagasse is used as a combustible in Boiler to produce steam, which in turn is used in the sugar mill for process for manufacture of sugar and to generate power through Turbine and alternator. The said power is used in Sugar and Distillery Plants and also sold to state electricity as co-generation. The company has 11 MW of power production capacity, out of which 3 MW is supplied to power substation and balance is for captive consumption. Thus sugar factory is self sufficient in power requirement and also produce Renewable Energy.
